Congratulations to the E.O. Smith Crew Team for an outstanding 2009 racing season!!!

"It's a nice reward for all their hard work," coach Jeff Godlewsky said about the Boys' and Girls'
Varsity and 2V boats that medaled at the CPSRAs. "Our boys A boat, by winning the
margin that they won in, really showed how strong that boat is."

Why you
should you join E. O. Smith Crew:
- Nothing else gets you in such great shape.
- When all your friends row, what choice do you have if you
ever want to see them again?
- The erg makes the prospect of rowing, even in freezing
weather, appealing.
- Where else do you get to carry your coach down to the
water's edge and throw them in?
- The winning tradition:
- Girls Varsity 4 won the
Founder's Trophy in the 2008 & 2009 CPSRA* regatta. Their 2008 time was the fastest time ever (6:00.8) in this event.
- Boys Varsity 4 boat won the Henry Petty Cup in the 2008 & 2009 CPSRA* regatta
- Boys Varsity 4 ranked 11th in NEIRA**
* CPSRA - Connecticut Public Schools Rowing Association **NEIRA - New England Interscholastic Rowing Association
